On March 9–10, 2018, I participated in the Oxford Knee Course in Hannover, Germany. The course focused on the Oxford knee, a unicompartmental knee prosthesis commonly referred to as a “half knee replacement.” This prosthesis is designed for patients with knee arthritis localized to a single compartment, offering benefits such as faster recovery and fewer complications compared to total knee replacement.
The course was conducted by expert instructors from Oxford University and Gelenkchirurgie Orthopädie Hannover, where I previously completed a Fellowship in Knee and Shoulder Surgery. The event was attended by participants from across Europe and included a hands-on workshop, allowing attendees to practice implant procedures on artificial bone models.
