Professor Seung Ho Kim is a globally renowned shoulder surgeon. He is recognized for his contributions to shoulder surgery, including the identification of Kim’s lesion and the development of Kim’s test for shoulder instability. Additionally, he pioneered the SMC knot, a widely adopted technique in arthroscopic shoulder surgery.
During my visit, I had the opportunity to observe the hospital’s extensive expertise in shoulder arthroscopy, with some days featuring more than 10 operative cases. The high surgical volume provided invaluable insights into advanced techniques and procedural efficiency.
Given the remarkable learning experience, I returned to Madi Shoulder Hospital as a visiting physician on three additional occasions between 2014 and 2016.
